8 of the 9 Blue Tit eggs have hatched in Box A. The first 4 hatched yesterday evening and the others had hatched by mid morning today. There is still 1 egg that is yet to hatch.

Unfortunately it looks like the female is on her own as there has been no sign of the male Blue Tit for over a week. She has been very busy getting food for the chicks but it is unlikely she will be able to raise all of them on her own.

Fingers crossed though!! Keep watching online and let us know your thoughts and comments by registering on this site or using our Facebook and Twitter pages.

The blackbird chicks are doing well, receiving lots of food from both parents. The nest is buried in an Ivy bush which is starting to grow rapidly now. This unfortunately means we don’t always have the best view from the camera but we are not going to go near the nest and disturb it so we will have to hope we get to see most of the action!

The first egg has hatched in the Blackbird nest. We have caught a few glimpses on the camera but haven’t been able to get any snapshots yet but we will keep trying! The parents will now be busy over the next two weeks providing plenty of food for the chicks. We expect them to fledge around the 29th/30th April.
